A nice weekend with friends

February 1, 2010

I forgot to update my weekend, so here it comes briefly…

Friday:

I was at Roxanne’s place with Bjørk and tulle and we had such a good time there. Dancing to ghanian music and preparing ourselves to go to a club called Nightglass. None of us really like the place, but we wanted to be in a place with good music.

surprice; the place was great!! and the music even better:) we had a real girls night-with alot of new dance steps.

Saturday:

it had been snowing so much during the night 😦 I wasn’t really enjoying it neither was my car!! anyway Keesha got home from her friend Vanessa’s place, where she had spent the night.

vanessa’s mom told me that they hadn’t slept so much- they had laughed and played most of the night 🙂 I wasn’t surprised, because thats what they usually do together. They are very good friends/classmates.

Keesha wanted to play playstation with me. We played a game called Jungle party! It’s some monkeys that are competing against eachother to win the different challenges that they are meeting. quite funny!! and ofcouse Keesha was better than me.hahaha..

later roxanne and bjørk came and we cooked african food together (banku and ocro stew) it went very succesful and we ate untill we almost looked pregnant.

Sunday:

We went to visit keesha’s cousins Doreen, Frida and Joseph…They had obviously missed her as much as she had missed them. We had alot of used and old toys for them. Things we weren’t using anymore and some we didn’t have space for. So it was a relief getting them out of the house and observing how happy they were to receive it.

Doreen and I watched the final match in african cup.. Ghana lost:( 0-1 to they scored just 5 min before the end of the match. But I must admit the goal was very impressive.

Ghana vs Nigeria

January 28, 2010

uuuuhlala…today is the day that Ghana won Nigeria 1-0 🙂 a day of celebration… I din’t really see the match because I was in school, and from there Keesha had to attend dancing lessons in Hip Hop and Disco.

But Now that the kids are in bed I can chat with friends on Facebook and share my joy with them…

goodnight everyone.

Keesha taking the bus alone

January 27, 2010

It was snowing so much this morning. We walked to the bus stop (166)where Keesha had to take off to go to her school. (Gideonskolen) she was not in the best mood because of the cold, But proud she was to show the busdriver her new buscard with her picture in it.

Nicas and I walked in the snow to his kindergarden and I think he liked that. It’s not what we usually do, so the change was a bit exciting for him! I had not had patience to take off the snow/ice from the car so this seemed faster for me.

the last person to be sent off to an institution was me. My school at Åmaken st (VUC) with socialscience was waiting for me when I arrived 10minutes late to the class.

We had an interesting group work about the danish parlament and I worked in a group with 3 guys. we were finding acricles that could be used to bring a debate about democracy to the whole class. I remember “tvungen madpakkeordning” as one.

the last one hour, Tulle (my cousin) joined my class so I could give her a lift home.

I was so excited to get home, because it was Keesha’s first time take the bus home and walk to house alone, open the door with her own key and stay home 20min before I would reach home. I was nervous about outsome, rather everything would go the way it should.

IT DID!!! wauuv when Nicas and I reached home…Keesha was in the livingroom watching cartoon and eating Brown bread with chocolate peaces on it happy and satisfied. It was such a relief but I was also proud of my big daughter.

we enjoyed the afternoon with hot chocolate drink and bread…nice being together after a long and cold day!

thanks to my friend Fiemus who invited me to her lovely page – and gave me ideas of how to make my own…love you!
